Changing tacho clock

OK, did a quick forum search & couldn’t find the answer, but tonight I’m doing a run starting at 02.00 Sunday which I’ve never done before on the weekend clocks go back. So can someone tell me how to adjust the clock on an electronic (not digital) tacho - I think it’s a Veeder Root - it has an ‘M’ button which I guess has something to do with it.
Thanks in advance of any replies.

Leave the thing alone!!!
It will auto adjust either when you turn on the ignition or when you next change tacho. It all depends what time you start work. Personally, I would not turn the ignition on or touch anything until 0205. Then when you start up etc, you will hear the tacho changing time.

Oh, thanks for that - always assumed they were semi-manual adjustment as a lot of them are a few minutes out one way or the other most of the time - not enough to worry about though.

It will only auto adjust as long as you have no discs in the head, and that also means no disc in the second driver position, which isn’t needed unless you are doing double manning anyway.

If its a veeder root, open tacho drawer, press and hold the button with the solid dot on it until the clock starts to flash, then use the + - to adjust the time then close the drawer and it will reset

Thanks for that bikemonkey - also found manuals for VDO & VR giving manual instructions.

i believe RobK used to be a bit of an expert on these things.
