How do you change the O/S headlight bulb on a MAN 18t Rigid? I undid the star shaped screw behind the headlight and nothing happened. Think the book says you need to tilt the cab, that can’t be right, can it?

Unfortunately it is not unheard of to have to tilt the cab for simple tasks on modern vehicles. There will probably be another screw you can’t get access to without doing so.
If its the same as the artic cab, lever off the plastic cover just to the insode of the light unit, undo two torqs screws, from behind step lever another cover off, undo torqs screw, headlight will hinge out, all bulbs easy to get at.

There’s only 1 torq screw behind the headlight by the step.
I’ll take it to a MAN dealer in Sheffield Monday, what bollox just for a bulb, the Volvo Artics are easy as ■■■■ to change.
Thanks guys.

undo the torx bolt from the hole in the step, and push the bolt, it will move the headlamp unit out far enough to grab it and pull it out
When I pushed the screw after unscrewing it, it went back in the screw hole and did not push the lamp out.
On the artic cab, prise out the rubber bung by the step, undo the torq screw. From the front, to the right of the headlamp, there is a strip of plastic (6in x 2in) that is held in place with spring clips. Push this out from behind grille. This reveals 2 more torq screws. By undoing these, the headlamp assembly swings out…simples…
just out of interest, what age is the truck?
they are different methods of removing the headlamp
