Change of career???

Hi, I know there is probably thousands of post on the site lke this! But hey!

Im 22 and working as an apprentice fitter in a small haulage company based in the midlands/ warwickshire.

Cut a long story short, Im sick of the same thing everyday, same walls, same jokes same faces and not really going anywhere! inspection after inspection, curtain repairs… you get my drift!!

Ive always fancied doing some driving and been interested in 8 wheel tipper work!

Can anyone give me some advice on what the works like, pay, hours conditions etc and do you know any decent companies in my area that would take me on??

Held my class one licence for a year now, Know its not long but i suppose you gotta start somewhere ay??

Also some franchise information from owner drivers working out of quarries!!

Thanks alot guys!

Ashlee

Hi welcome to the madhouse

Where are you would be a good start

As you work in a haulage firm why not find out what they are paying

Im based in Coventry.

The Company I work for just deals with General haulage curtainsiders etc not tippers what I want to drive!!!

Hiyyaaa ASHRG, sorry i’m a long way out of your area, have you looked around your own area to see what other companies are about that may take you on - it is a case of keep trying, good luck & welcome

Bartletts in Binley are pretty much just tippers mate
