Chandlers oil and gas, lincs

Chandlers oil and gas, operate in Lincolnshire, anyone know what they are like to work for?

Not sure about Chandlers, but they are owned by West ■■■■■■■■■■ Farmers (wcf). I, ve worked for wcf for last 14 years. Money not the best compared to other companies, but wcf is a good company to work for.

Is this at belton nr Grantham ? , if it is then my neighbour from 15/20 yrs ago worked on rigids for them and looking at the state of there house/ car they didn’t seem too have a penny too scrape together , so I can’t see it being well paid .

Proberably, their HQ is in Grantham, few other sites darted here and there, Lincoln, spalding. He might be getting his wallet sucked dry from kids lol or like you say just doesn’t pay well. To be fair I’ve yet to hear of a firm in Lincolnshire (spalding area) that pays well, I keep coming up with firms on here to talk about and no one has a good word to say about any of em, just a pish poor area for drivers

Lincs has to be in the top 3 crap payers…

I fnd it no coincidence that most of the large firms in Spalding have everything written in two or three langauges.

All the time someone else will do it for half what you will, wages are gonna be poor.

How can this area improve driver wages■■? will it ever■■? If a company experiences good growth and higher profits, they don’t have to give any of that back to the drivers who supplied the demand with pay rises, because they know theres loads of flip flops in our country now that are in a win win situation now matter how far wages are driven down that, like you say, be happy to do it half than the English. What can be done, or is this it??

I live in the area (near Grantham) and im looking for driving work as a newbie. Have you any idea what the average hourly rate for class 1 is here? All the advertised rates seem to be agencies.

I’ve asked numerous times about pay for different firms in area, I never get concrete figure by figure answers, just the same old, it’s Polish peanuts. I’m also a newbie

XPO Easton (near Colsterworth) on agency pay £11 p/h for first 10 hours, o/t at £13 p/h after that. Guaranteed 10 hours per day.

Cheers for that, ill check them out as its just around the corner from me,theyll probably want experience as most do though. Been handing my CV out to haulers in Grantham and Melton but only one has actually got back to me saying they have nothing at the moment.

Ideally id LOVE to work nights! Think theres something wrong with me lol.

A guy has just started (and been given a full time job) barely two months after passing his test! Mind you his father is a 30+ year driver there so that may have something to do with it. they actually are desperate for night drivers so if you impress the driver trainers you never know you may just get in. Good luck with the search though mate however it goes.
