When Challenge Anneka was at the Donkey Sanctuary near Buxton a few years ago they had three eight legger loads of stone from Ballidon Quarry delivered by our firm. Anneka was quite chatty I understand.

Forget Treasure Hunt with Anneka, I would sooner be in search of the Golden Fleece with Annabel.
Anyone for tennis.

When Aneka came to Binchester near Spennymoor to lay a new road myself my wife, and son and daughter went to see, as did about one hundred or so others.
My daughter was about 6 or seven and was always well behaved but my son, two years younger, although not badly behaved was always curious at anything mechanical with an interest in cars from being about one year old.
Aneka’s cars along with the wagons were all parked up and she eventually arrived to do some filming at the site. Paul, my son had been particularly interested with the little small car, looking all over and underneath it, and one of the staff came over and said ‘Is this your son?’ I thought ’What has he done now?’ suspecting he might have disconnected the electrical system or something likewise to see what would happen.
My first thoughts were to try to ignore and make out he was not mine, but thought better and said ‘What has he done now?’ ‘Nothing’ came the reply and went on to tell me that he along with so many others had been asking for signed photos from Annika and they had run out, but that he had been so polite that they had found one for him and gave it to me for him from Annika provided I didn’t tell the others who had not got one.
I must admit I would not have been so keen to go had it not been the fact I would be seeing Annika in the flesh so as to speak. Well alas not quite in the flesh!

Anyone remeber this from the late 80’s early 90’s. She had beach buggys but also a few trucks. I found F363KBW, a Leyland Daf 95 pictured below.

I also remember she had a EuroTech not long after they were available. Has anyone got the reg of this? I remember it being in T&D.

I am woundering what happened to these trucks (and trailers) after the show had finished. Were they sold to transport firms? Are they still around now?

Any help would be great.

Cheers

Andy

Is this any good Andy.

God, what a blast from the past. I used to watch that on tv & was ammazed to recognize a L.Daf 95. The old man used to run F720 RVT - a low sleeper cabbed 350, plain white (leased) with a blue tautliner & I used to think wow, that would be ace if dad landed that!

Then, being the child I was then, saw the 310 badge & thought dissapointingly, Urgghh, that’s a bit weedy! :open_mouth:

From distant memory, dad said he saw the trailer v.close to Donnington Park, so assume, like a lot of those type, was probably engaged in some form of motorsport or hospitality.

for some reason, i seem to remember the drivers name was paul puplett?

i expect the iveco rotted into a heap, most of them did
