CE test - Bulgarian style

My colleague who’s from Bulgaria, has his truck licence.

Took his test on a tractor/trailer

Where is the night heater? Is the " tractor unit"exempt from tacho regs?
Is there a job going there,if so when can i start?
Can i use red diesel?

Thats why we have the DCPC now. Is this for real by the way?

That’d probably be 3 or 4 times harder than our test

You mean Italian style don’t yah!!!

Maybe they should introduce that in this country.Could you imagine the outcry when hardly any could pass!
We have it too easy here.

Nimbies outcry, tractor watch.Killer tractors waking us up on the A1 trundling all night.Only last week we saw a Ford TW 20 doing 70mph in lane three.

It looks like all the concentration is on “how to reverse a trailer”…
“How to drive without breaking the law/not have accidents/with all the correct paperwork” seems to be a more western thing. :unamused: :unamused:

Hiya…don’t joke it’ll take a good man to put that trailer on a dock leveler. i used to move a
30 ft single axle trailer on a A frame behind a farm tractor in the refinery not easy beleve me.
the French and German lads have A frames on all the time and are used to them, not easy.

I swear I’ve seen that picture from another thread from a few weeks ago… Something along the lines of someone’s picture diary to an Eastern European country…

Its a joke, 1.The name of the firm gives it away…its Italian…2. Bulgarians cannot, have not ever been allowed to take a hgv test using a tractor, that only happens in Poland. ( happened ) its changed now.

To be honest, I found that picture on the net and used it to wind my Bulgarian colleague up. It worked, cos he started ranting on today when I showed him the thread, saying that he passed his CE in a normal (albeit old) 30 year old Volvo F12 and trailer. They’re very excitable blokes these Bulgars :unamused:

He reckons it’s neighbouring Turkey that actually uses a tractor for their CE test. “My friend, they all the bunch of crooks over the border. Plenty baksheesh (bribes) to help with the test”

I’m sure my late grandfather got his Polish driving licence on a horse (would have been 1930s though)

I thought baksheesh was Arabic rather than Turkish - A different language… :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s the word my colleague used. Maybe just a generic term in the East these days? I got the impression he didn’t like the ‘neighbours’.

Thats not a job for the glory boys it doesnt have any Kelsa bars for a start

Yeah I thought it was only a little joke.
