I drove Tockwith Training’s Volvo Artic today … loved it! 
What a great machine - so smooth and quiet.
Reversing needs some work - I got it in the box but with a lot of instruction!
Can’t wait to start my training TBH, but need to save up first.
Glad you enjoyed it OldHector, the truck is fairly impressive, Volvo automatic gearbox with an automatic handbrake and hill hold its definately the best truck you can buy at the moment, technologically its the most advanced and sophisticated truck on the market. Here is a picture of Marcin that passed that friday before your assessment, I’m sure he will agree with you that its money well spent.
This tread seems a bit lonely here, its a shame no one has replied to you as you are obviously excited to progress with your training. Thanks Laurie, and hope you are back to full health now. Well my OP did not ask any questions or open up any debates, so I’m not really surprised there were few replies! A lot of views though… I was just amazed how smooth and sophisticated these trucks are and wanted to bring it to people’s attention. Thanks, I might take you up on the reversing session in due course. I’m starting some illness cover work this week on class C so we’ll see how that goes… 
Good luck with the cat C driving, if you have any questions just send me a message. I know its quite sad but some days I take home the Globetrotter as its nicer inside than my car! Not sure the neighbours appreciate it but i got this picture of some local kids that came out to sit in it one afternoon when it was brand new as I had taken it home to show the mrs and daughters!
Feeling a bit better now, thanks for asking, pneumonia is not very nice in my experience!
