Cctv -yard -blackberry help!

Hi There.

Upgrading all the cctv in the yard etc now but need to ask a question and cant get hold of the installer now for a few days.

My installer said that any live images from the cameras can be beemed back live to a pc and also an iphone but did not mention a blackberry.

My question is;

Can live images be beemed back and watched live on a Blackberry Phone ( eg bold ,storm or curve)?

reason i ask been looking for a suitable blackberry for a while and just been offered some very good deals!

I only want to send the odd important email on the blackberry at work and live pictures of the yard now and again not interested in web browsing at work!

have looked into a lap top for this but poor area for reception here often touch n go.

So is a blackberry any good for these cctv live streaming please??

look forward to any replies.

thank you.

There are apps available for Blackberry to handle video streaming.
Your best bet would be look on Blackberry user forums for advice on
which one to use.

One thing that confuses me is why do you think you’ll
get better reception on a BB rather than a laptop presumably
with a dongle? Live video streaming might only work well
via a 3G signal, 2G may not be so good.

If they are IP cameras, they have their own IP address and can be seen on any internet browser, you just need the address.
If they are not IP cams they may be streaming to a software prog like webcam xp which transmits to it’s own internet page, and can be viewed in any internet browser, so if the blackberry has an internet browser the answer is probably yes, using the same address you were given for the PC or iphone.
