CB Radio

Hi all.

I’m looking to buy a new CB radio.

I’ll need to be able to chat with my Flemish/Dutch work colleagues (AM) aswel as Brits over here (FM I think).

Any suggestions ■■

I got a superstar ss6900 from eBay, has am, fm, USB, lab, 6 channel banks of either 60 or 80 channels each, and can be programmed via laptop to set up all the frequencies etc. can’t remember the exact price, but around 150 or so. They can also bf programmed for 10m amateur band if you hold the right licence.

AnOther option is a tti tcb-550, which can be setup for any of the European options. If you get one of these, they also do a DIN mounting plate, to fig them neatly into a spare slot.

Gary

Thanks Gary, I’ll check that out…

Most new 80ch radios are multi-country and its just a case of using a combination of button presses when turning it on to change to the correct country.

Far better to use one of those than get caught with something like a SS3900 in some countries.

Ive got this one
