CB Radio

Thanks for the links folks…

Is it a case of you get what you pay for or would a standard cheapo surfice ?

Might call in Lymm and see what they have to say about the Midland 48…

Well I’ve just driven 1800 odd miles from here to ■■■■■■■ and back with AM in France and FM in Blighty with hardly a peep.

It’s coming out now - for good

Salut, David.

Simple rule of thumb for buying a CB. Cheap rig expensive aerial. The antenna is the most important bit. If you buy a cheap one you will have no range.

My CB is a Danita 3400 or something like that. It’s ancient, massive runs on 12v only (bit of a pain when wiring it in) and cost me £30 second hand a few years ago. But it works perfectly, is crystal clear and bomb proof (metal casing). It’s in it’s third wagon now. Best £30 I’ve spent in a long time.
