Anyone know anything about these folks in Burlescombe? Cheers.
Yes, and the short version is…avoid!
OK…Why? PM me.
They seem to be advertising for a driver on a fairly regular basis. Which can really mean one of two things;
Either a, They are expanding fairly rapidly and are buying new lorries.
or b, They may possibly not be the best company to work for so drivers don’t stay very long.
My money would be on ‘b’.

I’ll vote for B. Spoke to them ages ago about a job and I wasn’t interested in taking it any further.
I’m digging this one up, because I applied for this 2 years ago and had no reply. They have just phoned me and asked am I interested. Does anybody (Apart from Bacn Sandwich) Have any info? Somebody must know something.
Bertie1973 was going to see them about a job as a class 2 tramper, I don’t know what happened though.
Bacon Sarnie why “avoid”? Bad rep or just because it’s a tipper firm. Not having a go, just interested as has been said, they’re always advertising on Indeed.
I don’t know much about them , their wagons are serviced at the same place as mine.
I have seen lots of adverts for drivers, but they expanding quickly!
Afaik they want drivers to do nights out

Afaik they want drivers to do nights out
If it’s like a firm near me, being a class 2 tramper means parking in the yard as free security or stopping a short distance down the road. Why do nights out when the yard is just a few miles away? If it was me I’d park up pull the curtains around and go home, just get in early enough to make it look like you’d slept in the truck.

I think it’s proper nights out !
The last ad I saw said " nights away"
Think I’ll give that a miss, out all week sleeping in a dirty cab for £9/hour.

Their latest Indeed advert.
Cheers.
had many discussions on facebook with them as they advertise on there all the time.
They use to take people on but paid through nova and a friend of my son went on there with a promise of big money which didn’t come true, they made him go limited co through nova.
it sounds good on paper but there are twists from what I understand, and they push you to the max, that’s possibly why they keep on wanting drivers.
I see theyre subbing for Gregorys now.
I can see why the likes of Clywd and G Webbs tramp as they go all over on contaminated jobs but the firms around here with “trampers” go no further than the day drivers.

Why do I say avoid? ^^^^^^^^^^^This!
Why would an employed driver who only works for one company be paid through NOVA as if he were self employed?
It just stinks to me. I always trust my instincts when it comes to jobs and my alarm bells, klaxon and air raid siren were going off like buggery after my conversation with them. I may be over reacting and it may even work out well for you. If this is the case, I wish you good luck.
Muckaway.
I have absolutely nothing against tipper firms. I used to be a tipper driver before my current job!
They’re still advertising on Indeed. Bottom of the advert says “we have new lorries waiting in the yard at Willand.” They must be making good money, if they can afford to stand new motors.

I’m not sure why a firm would pay the night out money either in that case.
See loads of Stobbies on the A5 less than five mins from Crick parked in laybys. Often wondered why.

see quite a few parked up within 5-6 miles of the Workington depot too . why not park in the yard where there is a shower/ toilet ■■? and some security (cameras) cant be any noisier than a layby.
