Cb in xf105 57 plate

i have just purchased a midland 78plus cb to go in my 57 plate daf just wondering if this is a straight forward operation there is a wire coming out of the cb unit with a 2pin plug and a seperate wire with it with a fuse and just loose wires

also does the plate just pop out of the daf as it looks as if it needs cut out

cheers

be on the safe side ask the fitter to put it in for ya

the cover plates pop out, they are only clipped in

is it a superspace or a space cab?

if it is a superspace, there is usually an aerial already on the back of the cab and the co-ax already in place, usually in through the upper cover plate

as for the wiring that you have found, best put a volt meter on it just to be on the safe side

All the relevant info here.

Do people still use cb’s? thought they went out in the 80’s :exclamation:

I have mine on all the time and somedays it’s busy somedays it’s dead.

I don’t think you get so many drivers on it these days although a few of the Irish lads can still be found on midland AM.
