Caught with a magnet

someone i know was sort of caught using a magnet. vosa didn’t see the magnet in place, but they did see the driver getting out from under the truck with a magnet in his hand. he was arrested and interviewed, but he dosn’t think he has admitted to anything.
as far as i know, he was just using friday rules, just pinching an hour to get home.
what sort of sentence is he likely to get?

Tell your " friend" to have a butchers here,

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mythomania

It may help you sorry, it may help your friend, come to terms with “his” situation.

that really helps. :unamused:

Sorry if that was no help, try this one ,

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malingering

remember phil we are all friends here and there is no shame in asking for help.

Each to there own i suppose  Running bent is a mugs game as eventualy something will happen and you will get banged up or worse cause a pile up because you fell asleep :unamused: although i can understand if you get bad news about a loved one and you are trying to get home, although its still illegal of course :unamused:

Much worse if a “friend” is injured in the mayhem

Using a magnet carries a maximum penalty of £5,000 and 2 years imprisonment. Your imaginary friend should just have ran over by the hour or so he needed to get home and recorded it on the tacho. That would normally be a fixed penalty of £60 or £120.

I bet he was gutted that he tried to nick an hour to get home and ended up parked up for 45 hours.

That is the problem with prescribed medication, it normally comes in 4 weekly packs, so after 28 days, Toby and Phil run out of tablets for two or three days

I think your “friend” is talking complete and utter rubbish, does he often tell you tall stories in a effort to

impress you with his daring deeds?

If your “friend” had been seen crawling out from under his lorry and vosa had seen him, a chimp on crack

would have been able to find evidence of wrong doings. I think your “friend” thinks you are a simple

minded fool who looks up to him.

why do you think it’s a tall story?
he’s bailed for 4 weeks, and he’s in deep [zb].
why would i look up to someone, who is stupid enough to get caught?

Well phil I am glad that you wouldnt look up to someone so silly.

As for your “friend” my thoughts and prayers are with him in this difficult time.

Does LimeyPhil tell Porkies then? :open_mouth:

i’ve done the odd obvious wind up. but unless someone was really thick, they would know the difference.
some people on here think that because i take a few chances, and live my life to the full, they think everything i say is bull.
i just can’t bring myself to be a yes man.

Loads of knob heads on here matey!

theres a notice on our board that a driver stopped on hard shoulder to answer his phone, coppers seen him and questioned why hed stopped on hard shoulder, according to notice they didnt do him for that but checked his tacho and found a infringment,he got a £200 fine for infringement and so im told he was a agency driver and hes also been banned from site.
im baffled whether the notice is warning you not to answer your phone, dont stop on hard shoulder to answer it,dont get any infringments as it could cost you £200,dont get caught answering phone with a infringment if your a agency driver as itll get you banned or its just telling you all cops are ■■■■■,as for what will happen to your mate,is it any worse than this bloke did  ,£200 and banned from site or sacked id guiess
