So disappointed in myself I was caught doing 57 in a 50 just wondering do I need to tell my employer right away??
There going to find out at some point so I think its better to fess up right away. Looks better for you and might make them more lenient. Is you license clean,ie no other points?

My response depends on whether you were physically pulled over and cautioned or have received a NIP? If neither of these and you merely think you may have been caught then I’d say nothing until you know for sure. If however it was the former then yes I’d inform my employer, depending whether or not you have existing points they may have a Co policy on a “ceiling” of what is or isn’t acceptable, or indeed their insurance Co may have such too.
It’s an occupational hazard imo and I guarantee you will not be their only employee with a dirty licence.

Sorry I should have added it was in my car on the way to work at 4 in the morning! My licence is clean and I’ve already done the speed awareness course I’m so disappointed in myself! Still on a probationary period as well!

better too fess up than them find out when it comes too licence check time + it looks better on you because you had the balls too tell them
