HI.As anybody got any info on caudles of sheffield,when did they stop trading etc,i know their removals side as been taken over by another removals company,but what happened to their haulage side?
from what my dad told me many years ago edie shaw started caudles with another guy & morphed into tuffnels parcel firm-heres one of eddie shaws seddons when he was at rotherham * my dad drove for him-alan
C H Preston a Sheffield haulier bought two Albion 4-wheelers off Caudles in the 60s - 15 EWA and 552 DWJ and they were both in good nick.IIRC Caudle’s own motors had Servis Time Recorders fitted so that drivers had to load and travel the same day,no loading and going home for an early start if you worked for them
