Well thats me setting off to glasgow this afternoon for my cat c starting monday.
Funny thing is, never been to Glasgow before in my life but cant wait.

Have FUN with the training & I assume that you are going to stay in a B&B whilst training as, again I assume, that Glasgow is some way from home and too much for the commute
if you see a load of blokes dressed in long-checked dresses with blue eye-liner under the eyes,DONT PANIC! apparentley its the dress code in that neck of the woods! 
lol i will look out for the checked dresses andeye liner 
Thanks for the good luck folks and the reason im going to Glasgow is because if i wanted a test local too me i was told by the company i signed with i would have to wait another 6 weeks and i just cant wait!!!

Anyway what a fantastic first day, i havent enjoyed myself in such a long time i absolutely loved it.
Made a couple o couple of mistakes 
1st i went onto the kirb by about 2", was annoyed about that and then hesitated at a junction, apart from that the instructor was very pleased.
He said instead of 1 hour reversing a day i only need to do 30 mins, did 5 reverses and everyone was a pass Couldnt belive it!!!
He said no reason why me and the other guy shouldnt pass on friday as we are both very evenly matched.
Well roll on tuesday morning i can hardly wait

Well day 2
Had another good day today. Things seem to be falling into place like finding the right gear right speed.
Went on country roads this morning .
That is something else in a truck theres like NO ROOM ANYWHERE!!!
Only 10 mins needed on the reversing exercise today, did it twice with no probs
The instructor os a good guy and keeps telling you get your foot an the gas and get upto the speed limit as soon as u can 
Anyway had another fun day.

Hi again guys, had a good day apart from my first 10 mins this morning did a couple of sillies
First i took the wrong lane at a roundabout then lost the gear!!! Then i just clipped a kirb again 
But this afternoon was driving for about a hour and a half with no probs and when i got back i asked the instructor if i drive like that on friday would it be a pass and he said yes . SAid he had seen worse trainees than me and billy (my co pilot) pass and we still have another days training to do so its looking good.
Still cant believe im actully doin it and what a great feeling it is,
Any newbies out there wondering wether to do this or not i would 100% hand on heart say go for it it has to be the most satisfying thing i have ever done!!
No sarcastic comments please lol!!!

im going to book my class one as soon as i pass my Cat c hopefully in about 3 weeks if i pass on friday.
I take it i will have my eyes opened when i take my c+e?
Just have to wait and see what happens but at this moment in time im on a high with the whole thing .

probably but judging by your enthusiasm towards cat C, i think you will love class 1 even more. i still love driving artics. i used to enjoy rigids but i jumped into the big ones and i have never looked back.
however, i do know of class 1 drivers who prefer class 2 and stick to them. personal preference really. good luck with it anyway

Well guys after being a bag of jelly for 1 hour i passed my Cat C with just 3 minors
Thought id failed after parking next to a bus stop
This has been a totally awesome week and now glad its over with a pass.
Cat C+E in about 3 weeks,
Cant wait…
