Well I have my cat c test tomorrow and I’m bricking it. I can’t help thinking that I’m going to fail. I’m having a little trouble with cornering on roundabouts and junctions hitting the kurb.
Do you feel you are test ready?
I do and I don’t. It’s a bit half and half really. I know what I need to do but think nerves justgetthe better of me In training.

Perhaps you are one who would benefit from weekly lessons then putting in for test when ready rather than doing the intensive course?
Just try to relax have a healthy breakfast (fruits…lots of figs and plums and coffee (only joking)
And take mints to relax you even more. The very best of luck to you. Mirrors kerbs width length and lights if its dull
Cheers djp will bare that in mind. I’ve just got back off my lesson and done the best I have ever done with only 3 minor mistakes.
I wish you the best, I failed twice, once for speeding and the next test a bloody speedy Gonzalez on a roundabout who I thought was going off to my right but changed he’s mind an came in my direction and of course I had already pulled out so failed on that(love to know who it was) and 3rd time lucky I passed. I was so pleased I asked examiner to repeat it. I kept mints I right pocket coz my mouth kept drying up (have them loose) good luck I will be listening out.
That’s unfair I think coz it’s not your fault that the person decided to change there mind. I just hope I do it. Its my first test so fingers Crossed I feel pretty confident after the great lesson I’ve had Today.
The examiner is looking to see that you are in full control of the vehicle. Give them what they want. If its a crap junction, take your time.
If its a busy roundabout, take your time-wait for the correct gap and then set off. Try and gently ‘creep’ over a fraction to your right if you have a left tight turn(stay in your lane though!).
You have what it takes-go and give it em;right in the jacksie!! GOOD LUCK.
I’ve proved that today mate I’m mean I was taking rounabouts in 6th gear today. What’s that al about!!! Yes slapping them where it hurts sounds a great idea!!!

Blimey…wos all that about
Confidence…that’s what its about.
Cheers guys. Thanks for the moral support. I just get pulled down by the mistakes I make instead of learning by them. But I’m getting there now.
Dpj what did you do to keep yourself calm the night before your test. I’ve lost my appetite. I’m trying to stay calm and relax.

Have an average meal have a relaxing bath. Make sure you got documents have two alarms if its early, have a decent but not heavy breakfast make sure ya car is ready to go don’t use chewing gum, fingers crossed for you. Let us know wot time test is ta.
Cheers mate. It’s at half 8 in the morning.
Don’t tellme exactly but roughly where
If your lessons have gone well you’ve shown you can do it.
Try treat it as an extra lesson with a quiet person at side of you just giving directions!
Remember they’re not out to get you and most are a friendly lot just doing a job of marking you.
It might help if you talk yourself through the test aloud, on an approach for instance say ‘ok there’s traffic so need a nice gap, check mirrors, I’m in right gear, can I go? No I can’t so I’ll stop and set off when space’ sort of thing.
It shows what’s in your mind and also you are explaining any actions you do.
If your comfortable that is that way, not for everyone?
Relax, enjoy it and show your a good driver
Best of luck
North east lincolshire mate. Where did you do yours.
Yeah dgcpx that’s what I’ve been tellin myself. It seems a good idea talking it out but I think it would put me off a little.
