cat c 102 ?

does anyone know…if you passed cat c in 1994 would u have ce with the 102 restriction on or not,iam thinking it changed from hgv to lgv on 01/6/90 ish.could u do the c uptil it changed again on 01/01/97 and get the drawbar entitlement or was that for tests before 01/6/90 reason am asking is lad at work wanted to know,if i saw his licence i could tell but he has misplaced it,he isnt driving for a living, cheers

Normally see 102 on C+E, meaning drawbar trailers only. He is the rare breed that can turn up to a C+E test in a wag and drag, fail it, and legally drive away again on his own! Or pass it in exactly the same vehicle he can legally drive and add artic rights (or remove the restriction)

EDIT misread the question, sorry. Think it was June 1990 that C+E with 102 ended? Someone older than me needed!

Good old Britain eh. My Dad has a 107 restriction on his despite having C+E. I don’t think they know their arse from their elbow tbh.

most folk over age 34 will have the 107 on the c1e but have ce,mine is the same but the expirery date is different, age 45 for ce,age 70 for c1e which is what i got on grandfather rights

A pre 1997 car driver who passes CE will have TWO C1+Es on their licence at the same time with one being hidden behind the C+E

The pre 1997 one will have an age 70 expiry date as well as a 107 code
The other will be subject to the ongoing LGV medical renewal
