Casual driving ( using unclean trucks )

a mate of mine does casual work for a well known firm ( not naming) doing runs to belgium, he got in the truck got half way to dover and got a whiff of something nasty. he phoned up the planner, turns out the usual driver of truck has a incontiance problem and had made a mess of drivers seat and bunk. the company said the truck had been cleaned but my mate said he couldnt stand the smell. he told them either get a fresh mattress here or another truck or im leaving it at next services and going home. they sent another truck . i know its a medical problem the usual driver has but surly if youve got a problem like that then you either need tenner man or change jobs or get to doctors. the said company knows about the medical condition and are now involved.

A nappy perhaps for the driver with incontinance. :bulb: Fair play to the man for keeping on working.

The driver who don’t like nasty smells could open the window a crack and turn the mattress over. :bulb: Can’t see nasty smell being a good excuse for abandoning a truck. Hopefully he was sacked when he got back to the yard?

Having had the trots when at work i know it’s not nice. :frowning: Having to spend all day in soiled boxers, with drips having run down your leg and jeans. Always carry a spare pair of boxers now. :sunglasses:

i am sorry but if there was a problem with a smell in the truck i am sure i would of smelled it as soon as i opened the door not half way through the journey, something certainly doesn’t smell right with this storey could there be some bull excrement invloved :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Or carry black bin bags & a bucket :unamused:

Or piggy ■■■. Maybe all the users with porky in their name are A class bull ■■■■■■■■■

He wouldn’t like it at my place all 60 plate and all stinking, perhaps someone has been cacking in them, it certainly smells like it.

Sounds like a drivers tall tale to me, if something stinks it’s going to hit you as you open the door not half way down the track.

some of our g-cabs stink of cats ■■■■[the best way i and others can describe it][[im deadly serious],were being told its to do with screen wash, antifreeze or whatever scania are putting in them on services,my only reservation with is why they all dont stink, but its a god-awfull smell, ive sprayed it with odour neutralizer ,left the windows /doors wide open and it still stinks to high heaven.is this what your smelling, you dont notice this halfway through journey though, you notice it soon as you get in cab

Sometimes smells only become obvious once the vehicle has warmed up - I know its happened to me in the past (thankfully not with ■■■).

agency i work for tell us that if the inside of the cab is not clean dont drive it… or if we do take pictures of what it was like before we set off… and that way it will not come back to us so we dont get the blame… also if there is management there or the yard man show him what it is like inside… they are very understanding and dont think that we should have to drive in a pigstye
