Like Rob says, I’ve been over that bridge many times too, going to Peter Green, it’s on a sharp bend and it’s tight, with a junction, you have to approach it with a lot of caution. The limit there is 30 mph and I wouldn’t want to do anything more than that. IMO he’s approached it too fast and lost it.
To give the driver the benefit of any doubt , he might have had to swerve to avoid another Mendip tipper terrorist coming the other way . Hell Drivers had it right decades ago
