I’m hoping this may interest some of you, I belong to a local (to me) car club, Bury Retro Ford, and on 15th July we’re holding our annual show, Cars On The Green. Now in its 5th year, what makes us different is we make no charge to exhibitors or visitors, all we ask is for donations, which this year are supporting 3 charities. We have also, this year, had the opportunity to incorporate the Bury (St Edmunds) Motor Show. Anyway, enough talking, have a look at the info below, put the date in your diary, and come along on the day, either as a visitor or exhibitor, cars, bikes, lorries etc, all welcome.
I have a confession…I stole one years ago, ripped the interior out and put it in my standard 2 door 1300.
Not proud and can’t turn the clock back. Did the punishment too.
Should think there’ll be at least 2 of the the 3 above on display on the day, would like to see a Harrier there, but like I said, their rare as, only 1500 built to start with, so you can imagine how few are left now, 33yrs later
My old one came up for sale last year, after a complete resto, for £13k!!!
gogzy:
old escorts are proper awesome cars, why did ford go soo wrong with them
I saw that being given some hammer last year at Donnington park. All the Toyota supra’s etc didn’t look anywhere near as smart or sound anywhere near as good.
nope, the driver (irish - says it all) just gives it some welly. funny thing is it keeps up with everything even the high powered cars despite only having 230bhp.
