Hi everyone,
Has anyone got an experience of delivering carpets? Any tips will help tks.
build your muscles up! got to be heavy work…
I’ve been doing it all week and a hell of a lot easier than thought it would be.
Is it commercial or residential properties?
With commercial 60-70 % of the product is small and light weight fixtures/ buckets of adhesive etc nit all heavy 200kg carpet
Tempers get frayed in that job, just got to roll with it.
Don’t be tempted to pile in, especially after a night on the tiles.
I would just roll with it [emoji15]

Used to do them in a box wagon. Biggest issue is to make sure they are loaded in order otherwise you can find yourself removing most of the load to find the one you want - sliding out the one you want is not that easy when you have a few hundred weight of other carpets on top of it. We used to have delivery tags on the ends of the rolls at the back of the wagon so us drivers could check where they were going.
The larger trade drops weren’t too bad as they generally have a carpet pole extension for the forklift, or a few bods to help you handball.
