Start with Carlsberg on Monday out of Birmingham, pick up unit at Gravelly Hill run solo to Northampton run trunk out of Northampton and return to Northampton, then solo back to Brum, anyone have any knowledge of this please.

Decided not to take job so off to Turkey till New Year :smiley:

Are you kidding?? questioning the companies policies in public, probably isn’t the best move when starting a new job.

He’s hardly question any policy’s :unamused:
He’s asking if anyone’s been there and done similar as it doesn’t sound right to him, not like any of is have ever been lied to by a transport office it?
I’ve done plenty of strange trunks like this in the past, none for carlsberg but have found myself Bob tailing to fetch trailers do a job then run them back. Nothing dodgy about it unless the trunk run you have is a very long one :laughing:

When you go in Monday tell them “This seems a strange run” and “is this the correct way of doing it”, they may say it’s “company policy” to do it that way, or you might just get a “crack on drive”. :wink:

Don’t worry it will probably be a full load of mt kegs then a full load of beer or a wines and spirits run back. They are probably short of drivers in Northampton so doing the run from Brum. There were some drays based at Northampton that used to go up to Gravelly over night to get loaded so no need to worry no deliveries to do.

Used to do a night shift for our local brewery from the north east and meet the London trailer at Tibshelf services. This night hooked new empty trailer up to go do the meet got there and swapped trailers for… you guessed it another new empty trailer. So never question it they always know best lol

If you go back and read your original post enough times, you’ll see where you said “strange run” and Questioned was it correct? If you’re asking on here if it’s “strange” and is it “correct”, why wouldn’t you clarify it Monday before you set off?
