Hi , I am looking into a change of career and looking at getting both my C and C+E licence , I am looking at various options of who to do my driver training with . I live in the Ormskirk area of west Lancashire and I am wondering who to do the training with . I am willing to travel upto 1 hour away . Does anyone have any ideas who to use , I have looked at the Eddie Stobart driver training program and also Hindley Green LGV training . I look forward to everyones replys as I want to get the ball rolling . Thanks .

That one
Could you please explain if poss ? Are Town and country any good , I am just trying to find out who people have used around this area for there driver training . Thanks.
I’ve heard Hindley Green one is very good too. They do get booked up a ways in advance though so you’d need to be willing to wait. I would avoid red rose. I tried to make an appointment for an assessment drive and they never called me back, even though I called them 3 times. TT Academy is a mile away from the test centre (so is Hindley Green) and they seem very professional. I did my CPC with them and I was impressed. Their pricing is about what you’d expect too. If you want a land line number for them instead if using your money calling 0845 pm me as I have one. The test centre they both use has examiners with a reputation for being fair as well.
I have contacted most in this area and did my training with 2 of them too. If you have any more specific questions feel free to pm me.
Book a few assessment drives see how you get on, you cans see the company for what they are and make your own mind up then. Based on what you have seen and prices ect. Assessment drives are usually free.
Unfortunately as far as I found when phoning round, the training centres around here don’t offer free assessment drives. Not sure why, but that’s what I found.
