raymundo’s in pole position for heading north and seeing real peace and beauty around him . the best bit of scotland is north of the kessock bridge . miles of walking ( if it’s not raining too hard ) , stunning scenery and good food in most of the pubs you come across . we go every year , but we have over 400 miles to go before we get to inverness , it’s well worth the effort .
Have to agree 100% with you on that one, wild bloody horses couldn’t drag me back down south either to live or holiday
edit:- well, not south of Yorkshire anyway !
Just reread all the posts, so just wondering if you all had good holidays last year? The boss dosen’t want a van but likes camping. Having said that we are into long weekends away with Tosco Points.I don’t mind either lol. Off to Normandy on a Biddy Bus at Easter and a Static in Cornwall in September.

Yep, love caravanning and wife is more than competent at towing so I don’t have to do all the driving
Mines competent bloody incompetent, went to Swiss a couple of years ago I’ve driven from Bristol to somewhere near Lux and we pulled into some services and after a coffee I said “right you’re driving now” she said ok and we pulled out and within about 1 second nearly wiped out the car parked next to as she turned too quick, I absolutely wiped the floor with her as not only would it have messed our holiday up but probably the French family too as they were clearly off on holiday too.

No offence mate, but when I say a plane ticket, I was meaning somewhere good.
Vomiting in Ibiza is not for me, but some folk like dodging turds whilst snorkelling. I think I am becoming a snob, lol.
The “raving” part was slightly tongue in cheek.
AFAIA,
We’re far enough away from San Antonio/Ibiza Town in a nice quiet picturesque wee hillside village.
Just looking forward to smiling kids with Sun and temps in the low 30s and Heineken/San Miguel and Estrella on tap!!![emoji56]

Eagerbeaver I used to think like you but now I know how relaxing it can be . Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it
Thank Christ for Eagerbeaver I was begining to think it was just me. I was about to buy a Pipe to smoke, join the Caravan club, and pop down to B&Q for a tin bucket.
As for knocking and trying I think I’ll put it on the ‘won’t bother list’ along side trainspotting, morris dancing and ■■■■■■
+1.
Robroy we must be blood brother …or both cantankerous olds Gits as Your thought pattern is spot on most of the time.
Who in their right mind wants a wobble box …Do what I did and double cab down Spain with the missus, it’s a bit like a holiday with pay !
