There is a layby on the 34 nb between milton / didcot and marcham / abingdon that is half of a former slip road. The lower section is unused and left to rot as such but noticed a few caravans have gained access and are parked up there tonight. It so happens the layby section is coned off and out of use but normally looks popular for overnighting. Wouldn’t fancy the chances of my diesel there while the other visitors are so close by.
I passed that late yesterday afternoon and noticed all the shiny new quads parked there and thought how handy they’d come in for approaching the lay bys along there from the fields in order to relieve the parked lorries of their fuel
Or toilet rolls even as that seems to be the main currency nowadays.
Very popular layby as you can get parked well back from the carriageway.
Also the waiting spot of choice for the DVSA as they can tuck themselves in out of sight, with enough time to get in front of a pull and take them off at Abingdon test site
