Caravan hell on the road

This is real…Nooooooooooooo please please do not let this happen in the uk, the carnage will be huge.

What would you need to tow that? Have to be a 1.8 diesel Fiesta rather than a 1.4 petrol, surely.

I’m sure we’ve all seen this one before, but it never fails to put a smile on my face.

Just listen to that dump valve…

It is now law for all drivers of vehicles over 7.5 tonne to sound their horns when passing lay bus full of caravans between 22:00 and 07:00 hrs.

Was that just outside Glastonbury it defo looked familiar, if so it’s about a 300 yard section of d/c where everyone tries to get past even though it’s a 30 limit.

So you wouldn’t mind if they sounded their horn when you were nighting out in a lay-by then ?

Maybe Mike’s referring to non-members of the caravan club who often drive vans and 4x4’s about hooting at all hours of the day and night past houses or anyone basically who doesn’t ‘belong’ as they return to the fold, a little karma possibly ?

Going back to the cam footage and i’m not sticking up for the caravaner because he was being stupid but the lorry driver was not slowing down and he would have had a clear view of the approaching car and van and so it would have been obvious that the car was not going to give up trying to get pass so why did the lorry driver not just ease off to let him pass and the incident would have been avoided ?

Because BB, it’s not what some truckers do and Juddian could members of the Camping & Caravan club be included within that ? Cheaper than the Caravan Club. That’s why I’m a member and not so stuck up either

Christ. If you cant afford a proper holiday, do without.

Why on earth would you want to drag a fibreglass potty around with you?

We can still afford a proper holiday it’s our choice, last year i went to Portugal and paid for all the kids and partners and grand kids and had a 10 bed villa by the beach in Praia de Luz, this year i’m off to Italy with me van and just her indoors as company. Everybody has different likes and dislikes did you know, the old couple next door keep buying new Vauxhall cars every 3 years but it’s their choice.

A chap of your calibre BB shouldn’t be nibbling at bait.

I’ll be well outnumbered by caravan haters anyway so i’ll run off with my tail between my legs.

If this was made legal, how long would it before you saw people on the top deck whilst it’s moving?
It’s all going to end in tears… :unamused:
