Car vandals

I thought I’d post this as Pavaroti has been having some trouble like this lately. In 1989 I bought my one and only new car, a Ford Fiesta, only a Popular nothing flash but still the biggest financial outlay aside from a mortgage I’ve ever made. Nothing to be jealous of you’d think? Wrong. One night I heard a bit of a commotion outside and looking out the window I saw some ■■■■■■ running over the ■■■■■■■ roof of the car! I threw on a pair of jeans and grabbed a hammer and ran out after them but being one floor up at the time that was enough for them to get away. Just as well as i was in the mood for doing some damage. Over the years the car was on the receiving end of further damage by vandals. To this day I will not buy another new or nearly new car and still the cars get scratched etc. And no, we’re not at war with the neighbours!

Most of it is jealous people really, had a new car keyed fews years back it was nothing special. But would put you off buying a nice car again i tell you that.

All cars get knocked about but it does seem that new, nearly new or prestige type cars attract more than others.

Ive got a ten year old Mondeo with a few knocks and dents, runs well but looks a bit old, I only use it at weekends the rest of the time its in the yard at work either covered in dust or mud depending on the weather.Cost me £400 with tax and MOT for 8 months,If it lasts a couple of years it’ll do me. Then buy another one similar.

If I want something better for a special occasion I’ll rent something.

Makes all the difference when you dont worry if your car gets a shopping trolley or a car door knocked into it.
