Similar at Heritage Motor Museum, Gaydon last week, great yarn with the driver, tho’ quite well genned up on cartransporter firms of years gone by, he was very interested in my time on car delivery in the 60s, made my day .

Are there any transporter companies left in the UK apart from Stobart & ECM? These two have a monopoly now.

Thanks for that I still have a quite a few transporter pics, my own and that of contacts on flickr and really should have been posting them, must try harder. I’ve spent a hour or two today re-reading this thread and all previous input was very much appreciated, tho’ not many drivers on here from my time to chew the fat with, transporter man, Dieseldog66 and their like, so here’s a photo to get them kicking their slippers off and responding, it’s from a load of stuff I have without known ownership (to me anyway).
Oily
Edit Dieseldog66 informs this is a Mike Close picture so all credit must go to him with apologies from me for posting without his permission
A rare one.
