So, start my new job Monday. 7 car rigid transporter. Now, I’ve done salvage and recovery but never anything where it wasn’t already damaged! Any hints / tips/ advice!
VIN numbers, which I’d have thought you’d have checked before. And with new or especially used cars make sure any damage is noted by whoever you’re picking the car up from. Really you should also check things like spare wheels and/or puncture kits, spare keys and handbooks etc. It’s up to you as to how long and how thorough you are. With damage though, corners and scuffed bumpers and alloys are most common on new and used.
Also, look where you’re driving (head out the window) and don’t be shy of walking up and down to check how much room that deck has got to go when lowering it.
Finally, everyone’s an expert. Most know sweet f/a (especially me)
