Car theory test result

Not really truck related, but my youngest daughter Sophie, has just passed her theory test this morning at the first attempt. :grimacing: (Failure was not an option. )

So proud of her.

Ken.

That is good news but now try asking a few highway code questions.Since the theory test started candidates only seem to learn what they need to know for the theory test which is fair enough for them but because it is all done on a computer they go over it again and again learning the questions and pass.
Trouble is a few weeks later a lot seem to forget most of what they learned.
When they had random questions from the highway code they actually had to learn everything and it seemed to stick better.
It is the same with the theory test for LGV.
Not good progress really but they are good at going backwards instead of forwards with a lot of things these days.

Theory test fails increase a lot = drivertrainingtoday.co.uk/vi … p?id=45284

When did they stop the theory test bank? Did not know it had changed again!

They changed it in the last 2 years I think

They want learners to read and assimilate all of it rather than just the main questions

Good hopefully a step in the right direction.

Well since no bugger else is going to say it:-

Well done Sophie!!!

Thanks Gardun.

She is thrilled to say the least, and at 18 is on target to beat my car pass when I was 19. She’s very good at observation, as she is always looking at things when she is in my car as a passenger, so I think she’ll be a good driver once she gets her licence.

My best mate’s son has failed his twice so far, but he’s also found out what his gentleman sausage does, so maybe he has other things on his mind…

Ken.

Congrats Sophie!

I remember when I did mine when they were first introduced. You didn’t get your results straight away like they do now. I had to wait two weeks for a letter! I was pretty sure I’d passed but was still bricking it.

Good luck to her for the practical!

Well done Sophie and good luck with the practical

Of course - best of luck on the practcal!!!
