car insurance

What car insurance companies don’t require an up front payment and will send me a bill? I need to start a car insurance policy but want to be sent a bill instead of having to pay up front that minute online. Is this possible?

None that I know of. They all expect immediate payment for immediate cover.

There are branches in most towns for Swinton Insurance, but pretty sure they would ask for payment before making a policy live.

Most if not all car insurance companies/brokers will allow you to pay monthly, but I imagine they would all require at least the first monthly payment before you’d be insured.

Usually 2 months as a deposit but would not be covered until that deposit is paid

I have never heard of anybody who would even issue a cover note without money on the table first, at least enough to cover the 30 day term of the cover note. No disrespect, but are you sure you can afford to run a car?

You could try searching online for nil deposit insurance

If you pay monthly you will be entering into a contract with a third party, ie. a finance company. They WILL require a deposit which is normally more than the monthly re-payments. The broker will take your money first then state the time & date that your cover will commence. Have never had an insurance company say to me ‘that’s OK we dont want your money yet, will bung you a bill in the post’
