OFFICER - no drive, you’ve had long enough stuck to that car :exclamation: :exclamation:

Exclusive
Footage from inside the cab at the time of the incident

it was a missquote as usual.
he didn’t say “should i stick around”.
he said"i’m not sticking round here love, you stink of ■■■■■■ oh and can i sell your soiled knickers on ebay".

haha bubsy06 thats brilliant

I think she was very fortunate that the road was wet.
Also the driver has done well to get her over to the hard shoulder safely still stuck to him as he could of easliy slammed the achors on once he noticed her which could of caused her to roll or spin her around out of control.

Just spent a rather pleasant 30 mins reading through this and replying to some of the hilarious knee jerk reactions - my personal favourite being “If it takes several hundred feet to stop then their speed should be greatly restricted, or better still keep them of the motorways by transfering all of their loads to the railways.” - Prat

Yeah i just have added my to pence (guppy) Loved your reply aswell about the railway sleepers

on the subject of the horrific you tube video i was a bit angered with some of the silly comments made from so called professional drivers and also with the fta head of communications Jo Tanner. I have had the misfortune of having this happen to me, I was driving down the M6 with a loaded 40ft container on i was in a 3 lane stretch of motorway that went into a 4 lane stretch i looked in my near side mirror put my nearside indicator on turned my head to check in front of me then checked my n/side mirror again everything was clear i then started to pull over to the nearside lane and all of a sudden i was carreing back across the motorway towards the central reservation there was lots of black smoke and a loud screeching noise i could not make out where the noise and smoke was comeing from i was on cruise control at the time and was doing 56mph i swerved across the motorway collided wit a car on the hard shoulder and managed to come to a safe stop on the hard shoulder when i looked in my front view mirror there was a bmw across the front of my cab the screaming noise i heard was from his tyres and so was the smoke i can honestly say that at no time did i know there was a car stuck across the front of my lorry as i was to busy trying to keep the vehicle under control luckily everybody was ok and no one hurt but until it happens to you please do not make silly comments

Seems the lorry driver did nothing wrong after all (BB haters note  ) :-

You’ve got a vivid imagination.
The car driver wet herself, that was it.
It was accidental.

The car driver misjudged, by quite a bit, how much room she needed when pulling out in front of that truck.
As she pulled across, the rear of her car hit the very front corner of the truck.
As a result of that and the truck doing 56 mph, her car was pivoted across the front of the truck and pushed down the road sideways, as you have seen in that video.
Someone alerted the truck driver about his unusual grill ornament.
He pulled onto the hard-shoulder and sorted out the situation.

You got it in one Simon. I am a self confessed forum ■■■■■ and I have seen this posted on many forums. All other forums say that the truck driver was to blame, but we all know the car driver joined the A1(M) on the near side of the truck and tried to undertake 44t in a 1.5t vehicle. You would feel that car pivotting around your bumper about the same as you would feel a pot hole.

Course, it was the truck drivers fault overall. Truckers got to take responsibilty for themselves and all other road users. Its the law
