Car driver behavior

I went to Pontefract yesterday on my bike. First decent run out I’ve had for some time. 400ish miles round trip.

Well, If I’m honest, I was a little shocked by car driver behaviour. How many times have you been verbally abused because you overtook another lorry and cost some pillock 20 seconds journey time? Some would sit in lane 2 all day given the chance.

It would seem some would look in the mirror, see a bike approaching and then spend the next 3 miles over taking another car!!!

Is it me?

Is it me?

No, it’s Saturday.
On Saturdays, anything but a car is invisible and they are hard to see.
In particular, motorbikes and white Scania artic fridge lorries become transparent.

The Saturday driver is on a mission which is well beyond
his/her driving skill, to the shops or on holiday
and nothing is going to interrupt the task in hand.
I hate driving on Saturdays and the only consolation is that I
never work on Sundays, when those who daren’t drive on a
Saturday come out as well.

Cruise control was the worst thing to go in a car.

No it’s not just you drive…The plus side of driving a plain white unit & a plain blue trailer-you can give them the finger & there are no repercussions…

If the motorist is going slow on purpose at least you know he/she has seen you, there is no solution to this problem as there are 20 odd million motorists in the country

The biggest problem is lack of awareness of others road users and the constant fiddling with mobile phones I find the most annoying and dangerous.
