aranger:
Never knew he said that, looking at that his usual days off are Friday-Saturday but as he had a holiday it allowed him to work Friday, week 3 no holiday back on track.
8th post in this page.
This is my fixed agreed “rota” with work although the sundays will usually be worked and not holidays it would then be illegal wouldn’t it??
The original example with the Sunday holidays was sorted out several posts back and it was all legal
I did read it and was getting dizzy, I thought I would add my tuppence worth when ROG stated that his Company needed to get a grip but then pointed out they were keeping him legal with his highlights, whether driving or not, but don`t mind me I got enticed with the puzzle. lol

As you cannot have 2 reduced weekly rests counted for 2 consecutive weeks which do you think is legal and which is not
@ NewLad
The first option you’ve put isn’t legal and you’re misunderstanding what I’m saying.
The second option you’ve mentioned is legal.
Or if you just want to extend the long rest period it would work as bellow.
Lets go back to the hours you originally posted but without the holidays, it looks like your usual start time on Sundays is 21:45 or 22:00 but it needs to be after midnight every third week (2 1/4+ hours later than at present).
Lets take it over a 6 week period but you could carry on with the following schedule indefinitely.
Week 1
Sunday - 22:00 start 06:15 finish (working in the warehouse) (This needs to be “Start Monday 00:01 or later” so the 63+ hours rest can count for the tachograph week starting on Monday ↓↓)
Monday - 21:45 start 06:00 finish (working in the warehouse)
Tuesday - 21:45 start 06:00 finish (working in the warehouse)
Wednesday Rest Day (22hrs away from work)
Thursday - 04:00 start 17:35 finish (DRIVING)
Friday - 21:45 start 06:00 finish (working in the warehouse)

Thanks a million for taking the time to help sort this out for me, where I went wrong originally was the “pay it back by week 3” so ASSumed that I could reduce 2 weeks and repay it all on week 3.
I get loads of “rest” probably more than the majority of drivers do, it’s just rubbish that my rest days are split and have to beg, borrow and steal to get 2 together.
I don’t really understand WHY they say it has to be consecutive rest so long as each rest is of 24hrs I personally don’t see the problem but obviously I respect the rule.
