As from the 1st of jan 2010 the canary islands are now on european tachograph regs, should be fun as most of the drivers here no nothing of the driving hours and rules. They have always been exempt cause theyre islands and not in euro law. But now im sure the boys in green (guardia civil Trafico) will be rubbing there hands to see who gets the most fines.
How big are the islands ? I’ve never been so I don’t have the faintest idea.
We have the UK Domestic Rules.
I expect they’ll have something similar, so it might not make much difference for drivers on local work.
you could probably drive all the way around tenerife before needing a 45 minute break

lol
How sad am i ?. i was there on holiday there over 25 years ago and got so bored i talked myself into a day out with a chap with an Iveco Turbostar and tipping trailer. At the time i remember thinking it was great and i saw parts of the island you don’t get to see with club 18 to 30. Don’t think i would do it when i’m on holiday now !.
