The first heated mirrors would have been in the mid 70s on the Volvo 86 and 88 when they revamped the cab before they introduced the 290 and they were good when they worked there was some firms who had power assisted steering fitted (not factory fitted) which was air and that could be hit and miss to light mostly :laughing: this was in the 60s and Scammell fitted hydraulic power steering on the Super Constructor which would have been late 50s to early 60s

What about the chinese 6…Tate& Lyle had them specially built on a TK Bedford chassis…i dont believe they were twin steer but was like a floating axle just to conform to the weight regulations…similar to the pusher…but nonetheless 2 axles on the front…seemed a bit weird in their day…cos they were unique
