I’m not going to attempt to answer this one - Coffeholic or tachograph are your best bets on this one

there used to be a caveat to reach safe parking but in not sure it exists any more for example if you break down on the hard shoulder and went over your hours then you could continue to the next safe parking place ie layby msa
you would have to make a note of it on the back of your tacho or the print out from a digital tacho.
you could not carry on and complete your run even if you had no nightout gear or or just a day cab other arrangments would have to be made
