HANDBALL / HANDBALLING
Quick definition of that phrase!
You’ll be unloading the truck yourself, breaking down pallets etc - carrying the goods off by hand.
Its what we had to do before fork trucks
oh – I thought it meant like, roll the pallets / cages from truck to customer and then leave with them unload the cage…
Next there’ll be expecting the driver to load / replenish the shelves
= “Free gym membership”
I’ve just started a job that would be considered handball hell by most I imagine, you gotta look on the brightside
wheres the wild, sound abit like 3663
Nothing corporate like 3663 thankfully, just a small local firm delivering animal feed by the bag. The locality was the main reason for the job, I can roll out of bed and be at work 15 minutes later.
Have been shifting at an estimate, 10 tonnes per day by hand, by the bale or 25kg bag. Can get a mild sweat on for sure

HANDBALL / HANDBALLING
Not what you want when you’re on steel, but it does happen
Actually WildGoose that sounds a bit like my idea of a good job, look after it.
I miss my formative years of 40 drops around Lincolnshire and be home for tea.
Probably rose tinted spectacles but I had a social life
Handballing timber today was a good laugh.

And the rest…
I was tray washing the other night.
I was bouncing off the walls most of the night because of it.
Hopefully nobody has to do too much of it anymore
I was working through an agency too, so the company (remaining nameless) was paying through the nose for a class one tray washer. It’s not hard work, it’s just boring as anything.
book drivers should never sweat
handballing twenty tonnes of paving slabs use to been fun oh the good old days!!!
