I’ve only had 3 days work this week, but split over the week (Tues & Wed night + today). I had a 48hr break between Thursday Morning and this morning, before I did another 8hrs today…
So… Can I work Monday morning as I’ve already had my ‘weekend’ break…■■
i.e 3:30 today till Monday 07:30 is only going to count as a days break plus payback… !!!
I can’t find owt useful as it all states a working week is Mon to Sun, which suggests I need to take ANOTHER 45hr break before starting next week…■■?
my understanding of the rules means that as you had your 48hr break between thursday and saturday morning, you can work another five days if you so wished.
You can work up and including next Thursday when you will need another weekly rest period.

The week is only fixed for the purpose of reduced daily rests, extended driving days and 90 hour fortnightly driving total, you can take your weekly rest any time you like. Remember though taking it midweek doesn’t wipe the slate clean as far as 9 hour rests and 10 hour days are concerned, they only get wiped clean at midnight Sunday.
I quite often have midweek 45’s (and sometimes 36’s or 24’s) - and sometimes I tell the HG that I’m counting it as weekly. Can’t say I’ve checked, but doesn’t this reset the 9’s and 10’s?
Yep the Hours Guard does take this into account, it will accept you have taken a midweek break but it won’t reset the 9s and 10s until midnight Sunday. I will, as usual, resume after a weekly rest tomorrow and the one 9 I used last week won’t be replaced on the screen until midnight. If you watch the Guard at midnight on a Sunday you will see the 9s and 10s being replaced.

Another good post about the complexity of the drivers hours regs.
On another post I answered about keeping all my hour tracking devices in synch and find it quite difficult. Here is a link to the system fitted in my truck, as well as a tacho and a Davey Driver hour guard
Well sadly I did happen to see it change at midnight this Sunday but I was out earning money at the time and driving along a motorway where I was the only vehicle in sight on either side, perfect.
Anyway sleep is for the weak, there is plenty of time for sleeping when you are dead.
