It not the driving time that you need to be initially concerned about but the weekly rest rules

You must have at least 45 hours off in one go every other week - can you do that if you do every Saturday?

You probably can’t do either, as even if you are only working every other Saturday you would still need to compensate for the having the reduced weekly rest period by the end of the 3rd week following.

Compensation if working every other Saturday usually works out out ok

Finish sat at 7pm and start mon 5am = 34 off with 11 to payback
Finish fri 7pm and start mon 5am = 58 off so 45+11=56 with 2 spare

My normal hours are 2 days 6am to 15.30 …3 days 7am to 15.30 …
But after thinking about it I think I will only do EVERY OTHER Saturday …I do have a life after all

Cheers chaps

Rog is correct. I do three days in an office, leaving me 2 days for trucking and 2 days of weekly rest.

I can work an extra shift once each fortnight by reducing my weekly rest to a single day, but there’s usually a day plus a daily rest equivalent (say, 36 hours or so) from the end of a shift to the start of the next so only 9 to make up. Getting 45+9 is fairly easy , because again the gap between shifts is usually the day(s) between plus what would have been daily rest.

Got the maths wrong so have deleted the post.
