Have recently sent my driving licence and photocard to dvla to have my photocard renewed and was just wondering if its ok if i go abroad without my licence?
I am on digi-card tacho and was wondering if that would cover me or am i best to play safe and ask my employer to keep me on uk work until i receive my updated photocard licence back from dvla?
‘Abroad’ works the same as UK cops ; they are not interested in what you are doing right ,there’s no profit in that ,they are only interested in what you are doing wrong so don’t give them an opportunity to nick you ?

My licence was only a week away for renewal, so it’s not bad missing a trip
I would ask this question on the Euro forum as those guys probably know the rules and regs for different countries on this issue
