Can i connect playstation to laptop

Can it be done? i dont have a tv as i use my laptop but thinking of taking my ps2 out as im sick of been weekend in msa’s surrounded by taliban and have to watch foreign tv

yes it can be done look on ebay & on the net there is a adapter to do the job but i have never tried it.

try searching ps2 to pc or simillar

alternativly & im assuing here you have a ps2 there is a flip up screen available that fits on top of the ps2 or for about 40 quid get a portable dvd with av in & a fm transmitter for 8quid to have the sound through the truck stereo which will sound awsome.

any ideas on it working on the psp? connecting to a laptop i mean?

Not having yet bought a psp I hav’nt even considered that one, Again try searching something like psp to/on pc or play psp on pc & see if there are any adapters available im sure there will be, but dont confuse them with an emulator.

An emulator is a program that runs on your pc/laptop & fools it into thinking it is a psp or ps2/psone but to use an emulator you need to download the software/emulator version of the game

But

Be warned there are a whole load of issues doing this like is the emulator genuine & will it run also will the games run with the emulator then add the possibilities of downloading virus’s & fake software.

ta rob emulater sounds way to complicated for me will just try and see if i can use the psp/laptop route me thinks!

You could try Adaptecs Gamebridge, if you can find one… not sure they are still available.
A search on the interweb &/or ebay might turn 1 up.

My mate has had 1 for a while now & works ok on a good spec lappie, slower specs might lead to “lag” which makes game playing very annoying to say the least.

They’re about the size of a credit card & plug into the PC USB 2 port… not expensive but like I say I don’t know if you can still get 1.

Another alternative would be a portable screen for the ps2.
something like this- THIS -
These were available in the last Argos catalogue at £99. However they don’t seem to be in the new book, but are on sale - HERE - at £50.

Don`t know about connecting to a lap top but i know you can buy a portable screen which is built into a handset plug it into the ps2 and presto…wierd i know but we got our son one and he was well away in the car…but i just use snes and saga emulators for my laptop…i like to play those old classics without the hassle of extra gear to carry around!!
