I’ve been told by a colleague that you can claim back your travel costs in regards to hgv training, well that’s news to me! Is this true?
Has anyone else done this, and who do I write to/address please,
Do I have to write a letter for every section of travel expense? Or can I send it all together?
I’d appreciate some helpful feedback please chaps/ladies

Yep, via G.O.D, just pop letter into any local church hallelujah cheque comes through post! A miracle!
You can claim mileage allowance for travelling between home and a temporary work assignment (e.g. agency driving), but as far as I know training is not claimable so I doubt travel for training is claimable either.
I couldn’t even claim my CPC training against tax, despite it being a business expense essential for the job of a professional HGV driver.
