Can anyone see a problem with this?

A driverless logging truck, with no crane, so unable to self-load?

How is it supposed to operate in forests? Even in the UK logging trucks are often ‘out of signal’ with mobile phones and GPS because of the hills and trees…which you get in quite a lot of forests.

It is a concept, a dream. a mere figment of someones imagination. Close, yet sooo far away.

It only gets real when you see one, when you can actually see one operating.

Many forestry jobs are cleared by Timberjacks and fallen trunks are deposited at the road side. I doubt these will ever catch on either but for certain all that fancy bodywork is not necessary even for road use, loggers don’t require side guards or mudguards, as for the cab height■■?

I just await someone doing the same for trucks.

“We look forward to working with our partners on this project which we believe could, in time, help improve safety and efficiency within our depots, and over the longer term, help transform bus travel in the future.”

Translated to: We can now lay off 200 bus drivers and shunters and save 4 mill a year. Most of which we will take as bonuses, and give the other 200, 000 to the shareholders.
