camreas in the wagon keeping a eye on you whats the crack on that makes you feel underpressure that you carnt do your own thing …
And the other side of it is that it shows you are doing your job properly. Exactly the same argument when tachos were introduced.
I see both sides but don’t see a problem.

The future with all these whiplash claims. To me a good idea.

Camra in wagons? Presumably on dray deliveries mostly? I’m all for it, anything for a better pint.
I’m a tramper. They’re not watching me 24/7. Just not comfortable with that. If they want to know what I do, they can ask me. If they don’t trust me, they shouldn’t employ me.
Cameras have been used in the workplace for decades now - don’t see a problem with them used in that way TBH. Different situation if I was having a night out though - at the very least I would expect to be able to switch the thing off when not driving (I daresay most of them switch on/off with the ignition anyway - I know our forward facing “dashcams” do)

I disagree with ones that face the driver. These incriminate drivers who take a drink whilst in the seat or grab a snack, something the majority of us are guilty of at some stage during our careers.
Where cameras are monitored, there should be a surveillance policy in place informing you of what is done with collected ‘DATA’, under Regulation EC 95/46 Directive (Data Protection).
Any Data collected during your employment is subject to Data Protection Act 1998. You may request a copy of all data employers hold.

This raises another point of a term implied into every employment contract, ‘Mutual Trust & Confidence’. If a company lied to you regards what the cameras actually record, i.e; “They only record in the event of a accident” and you then later find that they actually monitor you. This may be deemed as mistrusting and you may resign and successfully win a constructive dismissal claim.
Sue .digital rights management.for today’s attempted murder (shift) I have no brakes on unit or trailer .if I vor I get barred off site…what’s the point
Just stick blue tack over the bloody thing. If they winge tell them to bugger off and stop staring at your face whilst your trying to concentrate on the job. It’s off putting. No one likes being stared at. Bloody uk needs all its cameras shoving up it’s arse.
Camrea?! Camra?! Camera
Put one in the ladies loo .give the desk jockeys sum at to do .watch out for a doddering old asbo protecting business for fr Somerset .he nearly got a Suzy up his rong un
insulation tape over the lens soon sorts it job done.
give them something to watch, start wearing womens underwear and drive only wearing them.
If they trust you why would they put them in, and vice versa if you’ve nothing to hide why worry about it?
And think about does anyone in your firm have the spare time to go trawling through the hundreds of hours you put in, let alone everyone elses hundreds of hours who may be driving other trucks in your fleet?
