Does anyone know if you can still park on Campbell Road near the Michelin factory? Not parked there for a few years. Got a delivery near there this afternoon and will be out of time.

As above you’ll be lucky to get a spot!,The EEs Park up waiting for loads from Michelin.
Also may be less room than you remember as they have built a few offices there now.
Alternatively there is Newstead Ind estate about 3 mile away quite a lot of space to park and a decent pub across the road,also an Aldi and chip shop.

Thanks for the replies. I managed to get parked here with the EEs. Thanks for the tip about the other estate xichrisxi. Unfortunately I parked before I read your message but next time I will go up to that estate and your right about being less room now. It’s definitely changed around here.

Not sure how recently you’ve been up there but the residents behind are up in arms according to the local rag,apparently IAE are now running 24/7 and making a lot of noise during the night…might not be the best place for a night of sleep considering the residents are a good 500 yards away and they reckon it’s keeping them awake at night.
That’ll be the galv plant .
Hi I driver for GTS we regularly park on Campbell road. Park anywhere on left once turned round facing up towards roundabout on the double yellows under the tree line. Up to but not past the substation. Not too bad a night there and fairly quiet too…

Thanks for all the advice. Luckily it wasn’t too bad last night. I managed to park right at the far end but I will try one of the other places you have suggested next time. I noticed one of GTS was parked further up the road.

Many moons ago[18yrs] i used to load out of a waste paper com[later 7 side] and parked outside the front of a few units.
One was a com,making fireplaces.Used to eat in a pub called the [gardeners retreat], may jog somebodys memory.
There was also a bakery there. I take it this is all gone.?
