Noticed these on black masts in the middle of the dual carrigeway as you come into Brackmills ind Est, Northampton , does anyone know what they are?
A pic might help a bit ■■?
The ones on caswell road just off the 45 i think you mean, afaik they are security cameras for Bk onsite security, they appeared sometime back(but after google street view).
They do look a little like the specs avg speed jobbies but there are no more of them around the estate so thats unlikely, there was a fuss about bikers using Bk as a racetrack its possible its a counter measure to that. alternatively it could be anpr but dont think N’ton rozzers use this on any fixed sites.
They could well be ANPR. Private companies can use them to enforce parking restrictions if they wish. A lot of the supermarkets have them on town centre locations - they read your plate as you go in and out and if you’ve stayed more than the allocated time then a ticket will drop on the doorstep of the registered keeper.

I work on Brackmills. Rob is correct - the ANPR is there as part of the security; at this time they are not used for as part of any parking restrictions.
