how refreshing not to see a hi viz or a health and safety womble in sight…can you imagine this in the uk??
Nope, that would have been a complete road closure with a 50mile diversion & a £4000 bill for a Highways Recovery Wrecker to pull it upright.

Sad but true
A few months ago I was with some mates in our landrovers.
We came across a situation very much like this, but it was a horse box on the edge of a ditch on the verge of tipping. A quick acting farmer who happened to be passing had hooked his tractor loader on the wheel to try stop if going further. A Local plod was there flapping away.
Between us we had 4 landrovers, 3 winches and full recovery gear, plus a fully trained emergency offroad recovery guy.
We suggested to the plod we could easilly set up a offset ■■■■■■ block winch pull anchored on my Landrover without the winch and the others could attach on each end and pull it over under full control.
The copper was the usual self righteous arse and told us to f-off. He continued to fully close the road and we had to sit there and wait for half an hour until the fire brigade turned up. When they did, one of the firefighters asked why we hadn’t pulled the truck over with all our gear. We pointed to the copper and he uttered just one word. It began with p and ended in Rick.

Sad to say it’s bloody typical nowadays.

See, told ya [emoji6]
To play devils advocate, the copper may have rules to operate under, which mean only professionals can do anything, cos you can then sue them if it goes wrong.
So what happened to common sense? I think it’s all to do with the shift in attitudes to money. It’s become far too important. I’ve been held up in a queue of crawling traffic (like everyone else) where the reason is a broken-down something-or-other stuck in the outside lane with a Police car (or a womble) sat behind them. So why not pull the thing over to a place of safety, like (in this case) the layby a couple of hundred yards away?
I know the copper was just covering his arse, but this was on the outskirts of a tiny village in the arse end of Wales. I thought this kinda crap had mainly escaped places like that, but sadly not. Had the copper not been there, the truck would have righted and we would have all been on our way within 15 minutes.
Or more likely that was the most action the copper had ever seen and wanted to milk it for all he could.
Gotta be more exciting that is usual routine of listening to Mrs Smith moaning about the “local youths loitering” and other such hardline crime villages encounter.

Does that include Scrumping ?
On that subject, is Scrumping a Soft or a Hard Crime, because some Fruits are Soft such as Strawberries & Raspberries, whilst others are Hard (to the touch) such as Apples & Pears. ?
Could be just soft regardless if you let the fruit go overripe.
Cameradri… think he"s just signed for West Ham
