Inspired by a post on another topic here, we’ve got a Tarmac thread so how about one for ECC / Camas / Aggregate Industries and all the companies that have gone into. I have some from a few years ago, and a couple more when I get my scanner to talk to my Laptop.

this is my scania 124 420 works out of eskett quarry ■■■■■■■
Nice motor mate, notice it’s got a Muckaway body not an insulated one, I thought Eskett was mothballed? Ironically was passing their a few hours ago. Well passing the end of the road, it’s a long way down to the quarry

eskett was mothballed for a few months then opened again but using contract crushers p &l barton but theres not much going out. theres no tar plant at eskett but we do a bit of 9x6 and rock armour for the sea defences.

What a pity I remember when it was owned by London and Northern in the 80’s and a man from Crosby called Alderson was the managing director, he was also Bill Dobie’s brother in law. I once spent the day there with Lawson Haulage who had a contract to haul large rocks to the new sea defence at Silloth, they used a Volvo F86 6x2 with a special designed tipper body to do this, I remember it being loaded by very large Ruston-Bucyrus excavator.
That scania wagon and drag is a nice looking bit of kit, aIthough I havent seen it around for a while.
There is a day cab FH eight wheeler running out of Bardon Hill but I havent got a pic yet.
